I was greatly privileged to meet and work with Jackson who engaged my 20 students in building an extension on a school in the village of Arusha. This was an incredibly close cultural interchange as we lived and worked in Arusha talking and learning from the people there. My students taught the students at the school -a very rewarding experience. They walked away with a new realization of people and the problems they face. They met and knew real people with real problems ..something a book or an article cannot truly teach.
